Prolegomena to a Christian-Orthodox Kulturkampf

Dear liberals, you’re right: It is a social construct. My gender, my family, my tribe, my nation, my religion, it’s all one big and beautiful, centuries old, precious social construct. If you want to see upper mammals living deprived of social constructs, you have to go to a zoo, and there focus on isolated animals. Anyway, that’s the place where most LGBT freaks, no-border activists and other New Age proselytes belong.

The geopolitics of the Cyrillic alphabet: Historical dimension

On May 24th, Russia and the entire world once again celebrated St. Cyril and Methodius Day of Slavic Literature. Once again we will hear the words of Slavic solidarity of the traditional culture. This event makes us think about what usually overlooks May 24th – or for whom is it a holiday? To whom and in what areas of life is the Cyrillic alphabet "native"?

Europe vs the EU

On May 22nd, Austria faced the second round of presidential elections. The candidates were the deputy of the Freedom Party, Norbert Hofer, and the independent candidate and leader of the Greens, Alexander Van der Bellen. The voter turnout ranked at about 72%. Despite Hofer recognized his defeat he managed to receive circa 50% of the votes. It means that FPO becomes leading political force in Austria.

Katehon Think Tank interviewed the vice-mayor of Vienna and the Freedom Party member, Johann Gudenus, on the program of the party:

The Nazi roots of the European Union

The European Union is now considered to be the standard of democracy, liberalism and human rights. Yet even though everything might be in order with the component of liberalism, and there might even be an excess of this phenomenon, there is clearly a lack of democracy. The structure of decision-making in the European Union is complicated and lacks mechanisms which hold the top leaders of the EU accountable to nations. The European Parliament, the only democratic institution of the union, has only an advisory status and is therefore not a real legislature.

Something More on Symbols and British Perfidy

During the scandal in the US that revealed tough pressure on the European Union on the conclusion of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), a recent quite “juicy” visit of the US government in London was somehow forgotten.

Geopolitics of the Austrian Presidential Elections

On Sunday 22nd of May, the second round of Presidential elections took place in Austria. The two main candidates were right wing Norbert Hofer and leftist Alexander Van der Bellen. The race was close while both received circa 50% with a difference of about 0.9%.  Absentee ballots, which will be counted on Monday, could be decisive. Austria is a parliamentary Republic, but the president has important powers. For example, he is the Supreme Commander, appoints the chancellor, and can dissolve the lower house of parliament.
